Our language assistant gave a presentation about Martin Luther king Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement:
Pablo Torrijos ( 4º ESO A ) provided a brief summary about it:
" In the United States since 1850, more or less in the sixties, when the liberty movement started, there was a social segregation, blacks and whites were separate in all, in the fountains, in the bathrooms for example. The liberty movement used marchs, sit-ins, and boycotts to protest for their rights.
In Washington DC, Martin Luther King Jr. talked about the black's rights. He died in a hotel in Memphis. A few years later the black got their rights."
